We have a fantastic opportunity for HGV Technician at our Portsmouth location, to join the Sparks Team as you will be a key member of our operation. The role is to carry out all aspects of service, repair and maintenance work on all commercial vehicles that are booked into the workshop. You will liaise with the Workshop Controller and Service Team to ensure the best customer service for our clients. We are looking for a candidate with enthusiasm and a dynamic personality who will share our energy and passion and contribute to our ongoing success. The Technician will be responsible for carrying out vehicle repairs in accordance with manufacturer’s procedures within standard times set.

Salary inclusive of shift allowance from £50,170.00 depending on experience and skill set. Based on a five-day shift, Monday to Friday 10.00pm to 6.30am inclusive of ½ hour unpaid lunchbreak. Overtime is always available but not guaranteed.

Duties will include:

· Vehicle inspection

· General servicing

· Fault diagnosis

· Repair of vehicle defects

· Road test vehicles

· MOT preparation/presentation

· Breakdown/roadside assistance and call out duty

· Completion of all required paperwork accurately

The successful candidate will:

· Be a qualified HGV Technician (City & Guilds / NVQ Level Three of equivalent).

· Institute of Vehicle Recovery qualified

· Have previous relevant experience gained in a similar industry.

· Have a full driving licence, ideally include HGV Licence

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Parts Advisor at our Portsmouth location to join the Sparks Team.  As Parts Advisor, you will be a key member of our operation and will be involved in duties such as over the counter customer parts sales both in person and on the telephone.  Dealing with a busy workshop for orders for Renault and all makes parts.  Sourcing and ensuring the control and procurement of the same.  Involvement in stock controls and stock taking.  Issuing PPE equipment to staff.  Resolving invoice queries, sorting returns to suppliers, chasing for credits on the same.  Controlling warranty parts retention and processes. Receive, record and allocate parts and consumables from our suppliers.  Involvement in controlling waste disposal, purchasing of tools and equipment for the workshop including consumables.  Daily and weekly husbandry of the parts department and parts storage areas.  All parts are controlled by our dealer management system DMS.  We request all staff promote the company in a positive way to enhance parts sales and growth opportunities.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Yardman/Workshop Cleaner based at our Exeter location to join the Sparks Team. 

This position is directly accountable to the Workshop Controller for daily routine.  Duties to be discussed at interview but would include keeping workshop, yard and special tool store clean and tidy, use of industrial cleaner to deep clean workshop floor, emptying bins and removing scrap items and place in recycled areas, assisting with vehicle movements in the yard to aid productivity of the workshop technicians, cleaning courtesy vehicles, general husbandry.  Show a great deal of self-motivation in the way in which duties are conducted.  Must hold and maintain a current full driving licence.  HGV Licence is essential.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Yardperson/Driver/Workshop Cleaner based at our Southampton location to join the Sparks Team. 

This position is directly accountable to the Workshop Controller for daily routine.  Duties to include general hygiene and cleanliness of the workshop to include staff room facilities, yard and car park areas, good husbandry of all workshop tools, oil store, air lines etc, emptying the bins and removing larger scrap items placed in bin areas when required, moving & parking vehicles in the yard to assist the technicians, delivery and collection of customer vehicles/presenting for annual MOT, general husbandry of company vehicles, assist parts department with delivery and collecting of parts.  Show a great deal of self-motivation in the way in which duties are conducted.  Must hold a full driving licence, HGV licence is essential.
