As part of our continued growth, we’re excited to offer a brand-new opportunity for a Workshop Manager at our state-of-the-art LCV Van Centre and Head Office in Southampton. This is a fantastic time to come on board and make a real impact in a dynamic and expanding business.

As part of the Sparks Team, you will be a key member at the heart of our operation working alongside Technicians and the Parts department, to ensure everything is running smoothly. This is a very hands on and busy role.   Working within the team you will assist the daily operation of the workshop and its various components.  Monitor and control use of all workshop resources (staff, space and equipment) to ensure maximum impact on quality of work, efficiency and profitability.  Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operation of the workshop.  To be an active member of the service department team comprising workshop reception, foreman and stores to encourage high staff morale, exceptional customer care and experience.  Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

The candidate must have:

  • Proven experience as a Workshop Controller or Service Manager in a commercial automotive environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to perform well under pressure
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities
  • A customer-first mindset and commercial acumen
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and internal management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
  • Positive, can-do attitude and dynamic personality

Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm (½ hour unpaid lunch break), every third Saturday, 8:00am – 12:00 noon. 28 days holiday inc. bank holidays increasing with length of service.
