Sparks Commercial Services is a family run commercial automotive business specialising in commercial vehicle repairs and services and distribution for Renault trucks. Established in 1990 and operate from 7 Locations throughout Wiltshire, Hampshire, Dorset and Devon.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Service and Operations Manager at our Southampton location to join the Sparks Team. Working within the service team in this fast paced, busy depot, you will be a key member at the heart of our whole operation. This is a very hands-on role, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the servicedepartment duties to include assisting or covering workshop control, for holiday/absence. Cultivate successful business sales culture focused on customer service excellence, customer retention and new business, for both Workshop and Parts. Operating to achieve a very high KPI standard, MOT pass rates, Renault 24 breakdown results, Rex CSS reports, maintaining dealer standards and audits at all times. Fully integrate yourself in our systems and processes so you have broad brush understanding of all, as diverse as jobs card creation, customer updates, retail costing, workshop control, parts processes and systems. Manage the day-to-day workshop activities and to ensure productivity, stock control, and quality performance measures are met. Increase efficiency, effectiveness and profitability by managing and engaging the team’s productivity and financial target attainments. Ensure robust group standardised policies are carried out and adhered to by all staff. Identifying and implementing training needs for all staff, to include staff recruitment.

This role would suit an experienced Automotive Manager/Workshop Controller having worked in similar role is essential, ability to work calmly under pressure and manage the workshop, diligence and accuracy are important, proven management and leadership skills, computer literate including Microsoft office, proactive, positive attitude, with a dynamic personality who will share our energy and passion and contribute to our ongoing success.
Salary Range: Competitive salary, dependant on experience
Basic Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 6.00 pm with ½ an hour unpaid lunch.
Every third Saturday mornings 8.00 am to 12 noon.
